Meet Carl!

Carl is an 8- to 9- year-old gentleman who's mastered the art of lounging and loving. He came to us after being found as a stray, but you'd never guess it by how quickly he's settled into the good life. This sweet, soulful guy is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and ready to find a forever home to call his own. 

Carl is as easygoing as they come. He's crate trained, knows basic commands, and walks beautifully on leash. He gets along great with other dogs, is friendly with cats, and is even kid-approved! But his favorite thing in the world? Being close to his humans. Whether it's curling up on the couch or snoozing at your feet, Carl just wants to be near you. 

If you're looking for a low-maintenance, loveable best friend who is equal parts mellow and affectionate, Carl might be your perfect match. 

 For the past month, Carl had been spotted roaming a neighborhood alone. Last week, fate stepped in when he wandered up to Squad alum Haze and his pack during their walk. And lucky for Carl, Haze’s mom, Mabree, wasn’t about to let him continue life on the streets. She brought him home, gave him a safe place to rest, and spent the last several days actively searching for his family through lost and found pages. 

Per South Carolina law, stray dogs must be held for 5 days while finders make a reasonable effort to locate the owners. That time is now up, and Carl is officially a Squad foster! 

Carl is estimated to be around 8 or 9 years old, and his easy going, happy-go-lucky personality is already stealing hearts. He’s currently intact and will be heading to Riverside Vet on Monday for a full exam and heartworm test. Send all the good vibes his way for a negative result!
