Dog Squad is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit shelter-less dog rescue organization dedicated to giving dogs a second chance at life. We rescue high risk dogs from euthanasia at overcrowded shelters and provide them with a voice when they need it most. The majority of the dogs we rescue come with severe and complex medical needs. We are committed to providing essential veterinary care and bridging the gap between the cost of treatment and the resources available to shelters and foster families.
We believe that every dog, regardless of breed, age, size, or medical condition, deserves compassion, care, and the opportunity to find their forever home. We are dedicated and work tirelessly to rehabilitate these dogs by providing them with comprehensive veterinary care, unconditional love, basic training, and socialization in the nurturing environment of foster homes.
Based in Greenville, South Carolina, Dog Squad serves as a beacon of hope for dogs in need within our community and beyond. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of these animals, one wagging tail at a time.

The concept of “Fostering Saves Lives” is at the core of Dog Squad’s mission. We firmly believe that providing temporary homes through foster care allows us to understand each dog’s individual needs, enabling us to provide personalized care and increase their chances of finding a forever home. By nurturing and rehabilitating dogs in a home environment, Dog Squad ensures each dog receives the love, attention, and training necessary to thrive.
Fostering a dog is not just about opening your home to an animal in need; it's a profound opportunity to change a life forever. As a foster, you provide a temporary haven for a dog that has experienced the harsh realities of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Your love and care offer them a chance to heal, regain trust, and prepare for a permanent, loving home.
The journey of fostering is incredibly rewarding. It not only impacts the life of the dog you care for but also extends further by freeing up shelter space and making room for other dogs to be rescued. Your act of kindness creates a ripple effect, saving more lives than you might see.
At Dog Squad, you are never alone in this journey. We are with you at every step, providing all the necessary support, resources, and covering ALL expenses—including kennels, collars, leashes, food, veterinary care, and etc. Your commitment to fostering truly makes a difference and brings us closer to a future where every dog can feel safe and loved.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Squad foster parent. Together, we can give these deserving souls a second chance and contribute to a brighter future for many more. Join us in this vital mission and experience the joy of unconditional love.
Meet Bode, the dog who not only inspired our logo but also the very essence of our mission.
Bode’s journey began in 2010 in the small, rural town of Whitmire, SC. It was here that Randy stumbled upon a stray dog in dire need of help. Emaciated and nearly hairless due to severe mange, Bode’s condition was heartbreaking.
Randy didn’t hesitate to take action. He brought Bode to his family vet for an exam, covering the initial visit cost of $623 out of pocket.
The transformation of Bode from a vulnerable stray to a beloved family pet sparked something in Randy. Witnessing firsthand the challenges of rehabilitation and the high costs involved, Randy found his calling. This experience laid the foundation for Dog Squad.
Dog Squad was born out of a desire to make a difference, offering second chances to dogs like Bode while supporting those brave enough to open their homes and hearts to fostering. We stand apart by covering 100% of fostering expenses— everything from food, crates, and vet bills to toys and medications. Our goal is to remove the financial burden, allowing our foster families to focus on providing love and a safe space for healing.
Today, Bode is enjoying his golden years as a beloved senior dog. His legacy is a testament to the power of compassion and the incredible impact of giving dogs the second chances they so deeply deserve. Bode’s story is not just the inspiration behind our logo; it’s a reminder of why we do what we do.
