Jada is a 3–4-year-old sweetheart with a heart as big as her second chance at life. She came to us after being rescued from a cruelty case, where she was found tied up without access to food or water. At just 34 pounds, she was severely emaciated—but even in her weakest state, her gentle spirit shone through.
Thanks to the incredible team at Greenville County Animal Care and our dedicated veterinary partners, Jada received the urgent care she needed. She safely gained weight through a carefully monitored refeeding protocol and now weighs a healthy 60 lbs (as of May 30th, 2025)! She also completed her final heartworm injection on the same day and is currently on strict rest while the dead heartworms dissolve in her body.
Jada’s past hasn’t dimmed her light. She’s a loving, affectionate girl who gets along with dogs and cats and adores people of all ages—including children. She’s house trained, crate trained, and happiest when she’s near her humans. Her resilience is nothing short of inspiring.
While Jada isn’t quite ready to head to her forever home—she still needs time to fully recover from heartworm treatment and will be spayed before adoption—we are already accepting applications for this special girl. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of love and a story of true survival, Jada may just be the one.
Start the adoption process today by submitting an application—we promise, she’s worth the wait.
